Simulates raindrops landing on screen and
distorting the screen contents underneath. As the drops pile up,
the drops distort each other. Occasionally, one of
them drips off the screen.

ntimer 0.1 - Lab timer (Motif based) (Unix/X11) Ntimer is a Motif-based lab timer designed to be as convenient to use as possible. For example, to set an alarm to ring in 45 minutes, you only have to type "45" and hit Enter. To add an alarm message, you only need to hit Enter and type the message. There are no mouse buttons to hunt for, and no forms and checkboxes to click. The user interface is similar to the original DOS programs "nclock" and "nclock2" that I wrote many years ago. Up to 1000 alarm events can be set. Each alarm can play a sound file or execute a specified command.
mailfix 0.0.1 - New - Mailfix is a Linux/Unix utility that tries to repair mail files corrupted by Microsoft Outlook Express. When Outlook Express connects to your mail server, its first action is to download all the messages from your inbox and store them in a binary file called Inbox.dbx on the Windows PC. By default, the original mail messages are deleted. Microsoft provides no option for restoring the original messages; the only way to recover the messages is to forward them one by one to yourself. This can be quite laborious. Many of the users on our system have over 200 MB in their inboxes. One user had over 15,000 messages in his inbox. Forwarding this many messages to oneself is not a viable solution.
Mailfix reads the Inbox.dbx file and recovers as much of the original mail file as posible, including headers and attachments, and converts it back into a valid Unix (sendmail) format. The criterion for success is whether pine can parse and read the output and recover the attachments intact. So far, it has been tested successfully on Outlook Express files. Mailfix also strips out any non-ASCII characters so the file can be edited if necessary with a text editor.
