America's War on Terrorism in the 21st century was to have enormous ramifications throughout the Arab world. After the breakup of Saudi Arabia in 2019 that followed the deaths of several members of the royal House in an attack by computer controlled takeover of their aircraft, the resulting chaos, at first reflexively blamed on ``Zionist imperialist conspirators'' in Israel, led to civil war, with the southeast portion of Saudi Arabia splitting off and merging with the eastern part of Yemen.
A missile launched from Bombay impacted in Eastern Arabia in 2087. India initially claimed that the launch was an accident; only later, with the two countries on the brink of nuclear and biological war, did the true nature of the attack emerge: that it was an attempt by Malaysian dissidents to provoke a conflict between Eastern Arabia and the Pakistan-Kashmiri Republic.
Israel, the Syria-Jordan Union, Palestine, Egypt, and the Sudan formed the Common Alliance in 2151 to defend against the "Forces of the East" led by the Nawazan, in the region of ecological disaster that had shown so much promise after the republics of Eastern Arabia, Yemen, and Oman became unified following the Arabian Constitutional Crisis of 2098, which culminated in their unification in 2103 under the banner of Reformational Islam. Throughout the late 21st century, this region had become the center of the world's chemical industry as the world rapidly abandoned the use of oil as fuel. As the radiation levels gradually returned to normal following the worst radiation leak in history at the Al-Ahmar nuclear power plant, the dead were buried, and the nearby city of Awaz built the first of its now-famous Tubes of Awaz, a network of fully-enclosed transparent cylinders, to protect its citizens against the lethal dust that periodically blew in from the west.
